Manu Bhakar is the youngest Indian girl to Win Gold in Shooting World Cup
It’s a big win for India as our country’s daughter Manu Bhakar has won gold in ISSF World Cup in 10 meter Air Pistol. Hailing from Dadri, Haryana, Manu is merely 16 years old. She started getting trained in shooting some 2 years back.
Manu had won a Silver in the Asian Championship held in December in Japan. And that’s not it. Last year, she made two National Level records.
Manu is not just a Shotting Champion. You will be amazed to know that she is a champion in Boxing and Martial Arts as well. However, she had quit boxing after she got severely injured and her mother asked her to stop boxing. After that, she started learning Shooting.
Manu’s father said that she used to be an excellent performer in Boxing, Skating, Kabaddi, Karate, and Lawn Tennis. Her father Ramkishan, and mother Sumedha made every possible effort to give her all the amenities required for her to fulfil her dreams.
16 year old Manu studies in 11th standard from Medical stream. When Manu told her father that she loves shooting, he made a shooting range withing their home.
