Rajinikanth Has A Special Rs 200 Crores Rupee Gift For Narendra Modi’s Government

Most of the Indian movies that have an influx of animation and visual effects generally use foreign studios and technology to produce it. But Raijnikanth’s Robot 2.0 has broken that stereotype and it’s shot entirely in India. All the technological leads are Indians and even the VFX( visual effects) technology used is developed in India. A

The film which is expected to release around October has been labelled as the most expensive Indian film of all time. It will release in 7 languages( including Japanese, Korean and Mandarin ) and has an estimated budget of Rs 350 crores. But the thing which makes the film unique is, it is made on the lines of “Make In India” and would generate employment as well as revenue within the country.
Speaking to the media, Raju Mahalingam, the COO of the company behind Robot 2.0’s production said,
“As a group, we are UK-based. But we decided to shoot everything in India this time. This movie will be India’s ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’, the internationally acclaimed Chinese movie. “The climax was shot in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi and the rest in EVP film city in Chennai. The attempt to give a futuristic feel to the movie has resulted in high production costs, but the quality of filming will make many Indian cinemas shift to 3D screens. Generally, movies are shot in 2D and then converted to 3D. This movie is shot using 3D techniques. This is being done for the first time in India”.
This is a great step towards home production of highly technical movies. Rajinikanth’s movie has set up a prime example for others to follow. It is not only saving our foreign exchange but is  also instilling confidence in minds of Indian animation & VFX studios.
