OnePlus 5 may come with 8GB of RAM, dual rear cameras

Just months after the OnePlus 3T, rumours have already started emerging about its successor. Dubbed the OnePlus 5 due to the fact that the number 4 in Chinese is considered bad luck (it sounds like the Mandarin Chinese word for death), the smartphone is expected to be quite a comprehensive update over its predecessor.
A new report from Chinese publication PCPop claims that the smartphone will come with a whopping 8GB of RAM. While this sounds a bit outlandish at first, we must not forget that the OnePlus 3 was one of the first handsets in the world to feature 6GB of RAM which also looked like overkill at the time.
According to the report, the OnePlus 5 will be powered by Qualcomm's latest flagship processor - the octa-core Snapdragon 835 along with the Adreno 540 GPU. Additionally, the smartphone will come with an all new design with reduced bezels in line with the Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6.

On the display front, OnePlus is finally set to make the jump from fullHD to QuadHD in the OnePlus 5 with a resolution of 1440x2560. Just like the iPhone 7 and LG G6, the smartphone is also expected to come with a dual-camera array at the back.
The report claims that the OnePlus 5 will launch sometime in the second half of the year and will be priced at a little under 500 dollars.  As with all rumours and leaks, these might prove to be false eventually and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
OnePlus recently introduced a stunning Matt Black version of the OnePlus 3T which the company claims took over a year of tests and processes to design. The OnePlus 3T comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, a 3,400Mah battery, a 16MP rear camera,  an 8MP front shooter and a 5.5-inch fullHD display.
